Fingersense TM technology with
probe and electronics test of pulse
oximeters.
The Index 2XL incorporates
FingersenseTM technology which is
virtually compatible with any oximeter
on the market today. In addition to the
Index finger which is available in both
XLF and XLFE models, the Index 2XLFE
features probe testing and electrical
simulation for testing pulse oximeters
and probes independently.
The Index 2XL has improved in
many areas from its predecessor, the
Index 2P. The expanded capabilities are
listed below:
- Pulse strength feature has been
upgraded to reflect physiological
units of perfusion rather than an
arbitrary percentage scale
- New physiological motion
artifacts (tap and shiver) available
in preset mode
- Improved probe test
- More realistic 50/60 Hz artifact
- Increased bpm accuracy
Index 2XL lets you simulate
arterial oxygen saturation from 35-100%
oxygenation. Heart rate can be varied
from 30 to 250 bpm. In addition,
plethysmographic waveforms can be set
from 0-20% signal strength, simulating
the range from no pulse to a very strong
pulse. These basic features allow Index
2XL to simulate several
different patient conditions such as:
- Normal patient
- Normal/Tap, Normal Shiver
- Patient with a weak pulse
- Weak/Tap, Weak Shiver
- Geriatric patient
- Obese patient
- Bradycardia
- Brad/Shiver
- Tachycardia
- Hypox, Hypox/Tap, Hypox/Shiver,
Neonate, Neonate/Shiver
Fluke Biomedical's test simulations
verify the pulse oximeters SpO2 and
heart rate alarms for response time. Use
Index 2XL for pre-purchase
evaluations to determine how well
different pulse oximeters respond to
artifacts such as motion, ambient
sunlight, and 50/60 Hz artificial light.
In addition, Index 2XL comes
with full computer control, a built-in
RS-232, and a printer port. Test results
may be transferred to Fluke Biomedical's
Equipment Management System sent
directly to an attached printer for
hard-copy results.
