Overview

Comprehensive & Cost-Effective.

No other patient simulator on the market today offers you so much versatility. Designed to deliver simulations for your most complex inspection requirements, the medSim 300B offers a 12-lead ECG, four blood pressure channels, impedance-based respiration, temperature, and cardiac output (optional). As part of our Integrated System approach, medSim can be controlled remotely from a medTester 5000 Series Automated Safety and Performance Analyzer. You won’t find an easier way increase your test activities.

The medSim 300B has factory preset waveform sequences along with 15 programmable sequences that simulate a wide range of physiological events. medSim’s compact size and handy optional controller, make the industry’s most comprehensive patient simulator an ideal investment for any biomedical department.

12-Lead ECG
User Programmable normal sinus & PVC parameters
Full range of cardiac arrhythmias and performance testing selections
User-programmable pacer spike width & amplitudes
R-wave detector testing
Power line, muscle, & baseline artifacts

The medSim 300B’s independent signal channels replicate the heart’s electrical activity. These 12-Lead format signals test the full range of cardiac equipment, from simple portable monitors to complex diagnostic recorders. Thirty basic arrhythmias, along with practically any combination of premature beat and artifact, are available. All of the performance waveforms for gain, frequency response and linearity testing that you would expect are standard… plus unique R-Wave detection testing & pacer simulation capabilities.

Blood Pressure
4 independent channels with both dynamic simulation and static levels
Complete Swan-Ganz procedure
Two triangle waveforms for linearity testing
Selectable BP/respiratory artifact levels
Automated static level sequencing

medSim is the only simulator on the market to offer four independent BP channels and automated static pressure level sequencing for hands-free testing.

Respiration
Adult, neonatal, and ventilator selection
Selectable I/E ratios
Baseline shift
Apnea episodes

You can use the medSim 300B to simulate the widest range of respiratory signals. This gives you the capacity to test impedance-based cardiorespirograms (CRGs), which are incorporated into the most sophisticated neonatal monitoring systems.

Temperature
Dual channels
Trending sequences

Verify the operation of a monitor’s delta computation with medSim’s exclusive dual temperature channels. Other features include dynamic temperature with three physiological trends that ensure the functionality of both long- and short-term trending capabilities.

Cardiac Output Option
Fixed waveforms at 3, 5, and 7 liters per minute
Three trending sequences
Normal & defective curves

Pushbutton Ease of Use
Use the optional remote controller, for convenient access to all medSim 300B waveform selections. Simply plug the controller into the RS-232 port on medSim’s top panel.

Training Capabilities
One of medSim’s "bonus" features is the ability to use it as a training device for basic defibrillator operation and waveform recognition.

Defibrillator Training
With two emergency scenarios and a cardioversion procedure, the medSim 300B can be used for basic defibrillator training.

Adding Capability with Option 1
Take advantage of extended capabilities with Option 1 software, which gives you the following powerful inspection features:

Cardiac Catheterization
When equipped with Option 1, medSim 300B will simulate a pressure gradient range of 5% to 50% across the aortic, mitral, and pulmonary heart valves.

Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump
In this mode, medSim 300B will generate an augmented arterial waveform whenever an assist TTL level pulse is sensed at the sync input.

Fetal Maternal ECG & Interactive IUP
Using Option 1 in the fetal/maternal mode, you can output a composite ECG complex.

Arrhythmia Selections
The medSim 300B offers 32 arrhythmia selections plus a programmable PVC function for a broad range of test and training capabilities. Select any one of these arrhythmias using the optional controller or directly from the menu selections:

Supraventricular
Atrial Fibrillation 1 & 2
Atrial Flutter
Sinus Arrhythmia
Missed Beat 80 & 120 BPM
Paroxysmal Atrial Tachycardia
Nodal
Supraventricular Tachycardia

Premature Beats
Atrial (PAC)
Nodal (PNC)
PVC-1
Multifocal PVCs
