Overview

The latest in external cardiac pacemaker analyzers.

This new biomedical instrumentation test product shall satisfy the biomed's wide range of external transcutaneous (non-invasive) and transvenous (invasive) pace-maker testing needs. The SigmaPace™1000 is a powerful handheld analyzer with a comprehensive range of test suites, measurement algorithms and test loads—as specified by the external pacemaker manufacturers—to fulfil your testing requirements both fast and efficiently.

The biomedical technician can check external pacemakers for basic operation, verify pace-maker performance either during routine inspections or following factory repair/upgrade, and troubleshoot intermittent pacemaker problems.

The SigmaPace™1000 will also prove to be a valuable in-service training and demonstration tool. In addition to the ability of demonstrating the pacemaker's basic amplitude sensitivity and refractory capabilities, you can also present the interactive pacemaker operation using either the standard 5-Lead or high-level ECG output with your bedside monitor, strip chart recorder or oscilloscope. The SigmaPace™1000 realistically mimics the patient's cardiac response to the attached temporary pacemaker including capture, the basic transcutaneous pacemaker asynchronous operation and the more complex four states of dual channel transvenous pacemaker operation.

True dual-channel measurement and embedded DSP (Digital Signal Processor) technologies meet the performance challenge!
Earlier analyzers have only one measurement channel whereas the SigmaPace™1000 offers two independent analogue-to-digital conversion channels that simultaneously capture the pacemaker's arterial and ventricular output pulses. The pacer output pulses—now in digital format—are fed to the digital signal processor (DSP) where all calculations are conducted. Now the biomed can take a fast and accurate "snapshot" of pacemaker operation… simultaneous dual channel measurement data is displayed on the LCD readout and available via the serial port!

Testing is a breeze with the SigmaPace™1000 because you no longer need to switch test leads to conduct your desired arterial or ventricular channel test… all test functions with the required ECG waveforms are instantly available to the user though via internal relay routing. As you would expect, the SigmaPace™1000 maintains high differential isolation impedance between the arterial and ventricular channels during pulse output tests to ensure accurate measurements.
